The "Karate Kid" classes aim to be challenging and fun while raising awareness and introducing basic principles of self-defence from within the Kissaki- Kai framework. Through a series of games, karate and role play we develop the students spatial awareness, confidence and communication skills

Our professional instructors have a combined experience of more than eighty years so you can be sure of a high standard of tuition. Kissaki continues to combines the best of the old with the best of the new and current developments in the field of exercise science are used to ensure that the most effective training methods are adopted.
The Zazen programme addresses difficult subjects such as stranger danger and bullying. We introduce the basic principles of environmental awareness and personal protection in an easy to follow manner.
By working with their peers, students learn to respect each other and show consideration in practice. This carries over into their everyday lives and in time becomes second nature.
By using role play and scenario training we help develop a child's ability to express and communicate more effectively.
As students progress with their martial arts practice, they will take the attributes and skills they learn into their adult life. The benefits of training transcend the dojo (training hall) and will provide an excellent foundation for them to grow and mature.
Booking your place on this innovative programme is simple, just pick up the phone. Spaces are limited though so don't leave it too long before calling!
Once you are booked in all you need to do is turn up with the completed health questionnaire. If you forget the form, don't worry; just allow a little extra time to complete another before the start of the session.

Classes
Workshops/grade exams run at the end of each term providing an opportunity to have some fun and learn some new things as well as try for that next grade (please note that the grading is not a compulsory part of the workshop)

Fees
The Academy operates its junior karate programme in line with the local school authority academic year, which means that when school is in session, so are we.
We understand that many families want to make the most of the school holiday periods and our 6-term programme ensures that students won't miss a thing!
*Term fees are £25 (based on 1 class a week) or £40.00 (unlimited). Each term runs for 6 weeks and fees are paid at the beginning of the term.
Additional workshops and seminars are charged at an individual rate.
We provide a structured training programme that offers students the opportunity to progress through the belt ranking system! Belt tests cost £20 and are held at regular intervals throughout the year. All belt tests are conducted by the UK Chief Instructor and the grades recognised world wide.
Registration is an annual payment providing basic insurance cover and registers the student and their grades with our International Headquarters. The £15 annual fee is compulsory and ensures that all students are registered and insured.
Grading/Exam Fees:
We provide a structured training programme that offers students the opportunity to progress through the belt ranking system! Belt tests (grading) are held at regular intervals throughout the year.

The Kissaki-Kai Karate-Do International registration fee
An annual payment provides basic insurance cover and register you and your grades with the Kissaki-Kai Karate-Do International Hombu dojo. Cheques are made payable to PBS and must be returned with a completed registration form.
